Chromoly pushrods are thinner and have better flex resistancy than aluminum. Aluminum is lighter than chromoly and will reduce inertia mass. But for heavy duty service, like racing and or high lift cams with high pressure springs it is still advised to run chromoly pushrods. Note: See 503530 for chromoly pushrods.
