It can be used for candles and food as well. This piece is made by fusing two pieces of glass in our home kiln. Then we fire it again to adhere the glass stars. Finally it is slumped into a soap dish mold for 8 more hours. I love the deep blue sparkles of this glass because it adds an interesting pop of color. This glass has metal flakes in it
