A unique and beautiful hybrid made by crossing two Bromelia species from Brazil (villosa x rosea). Both parents are rare in collections. The leaves are narrow with spines along the edges. Bronze green in color with a copper pink veneer as the plant matures. At anthesis the center leaves turn red and have an inner ring of frosted white leaf axils. The compound semi raised inflorescence has frosted white floral bracts
