A similar variant is TC150 Internal Tube Joiner which has the same diameter as the tube when installed. However when using the TC148 External Tube Joiner, the connection between the tubes is much stronger then than when using the TC150 Internal Tube Joiner. The TC150 is made of galvanised steel.
