The wide leaves are sharply pointed, yellowish green with brownish to pinkish mottling. The inflorescence is a tall scape with clusters of short branches, brownish in color with yellow flowers. Native to the Caatinga, a rocky, scrubby, dry forest where it is found mainly growing on the ground or on rocks.
