Two tall draw string side pouches have plenty of room for a large water bottle and extra gear. Both side pouches are open behind for slipping important gear like a saw, axe, or tent poles neatly away. One side pouch is open at the bottom to allow an axe, paddle, etc to slip all the way through. The other side is sewn closed at the bottom
