Very dark red and green mottling covered in fine scurf giving a dull matte finish over the entire leaf and denser near the base on very wide leaves

it develops a light rosy-pink glaze

This species native to medium to high altitudes in semi-arid scrub in Ecuador and northern Peru is in my opinion a new taxa

The brown leaves have silver gray edges

It was confused years ago with Neo
