Ronnbergia veitchii BEGINNER so far as we knowA showy but rare species from the region of Amazonia, covering parts of Colombia to Peru. The plant has green leaves that are canaliculate or channeled, forming an upright rosette. The inflorescence is spectacular, strobilate or cone shaped with many sharply recurved shiny bright red bracts and yellow flowers. This plant was recently reassigned to Ronnbergia from Aechmea. Good quality water is the best way to insure success with this species.
