Part of the Extra Large Silversmith Hammer line introduced in 2015 by Bill and Jordan Fretz, the HMR 305 compresses metal down to the stake, leaving it in a relatively smooth condition compared to pieces raised with a narrow cross pein. It is often used for angle raising in conjunction with an R 101
