French School Art Deco Chalk Drawing B'LA'MANGE Circa.1930 Old Master Print with a further group heldIntriguing and amusing modernist chalk drawing depicting a female figure seated atop a jelly mold. Entitled B'LA'MANGE. Probably French school Circa. 1930. Unidentified monogram lower right CJP. Further inscribed Cast Aggreg' 30 by 54 cms. Blancmange is a popular gelatine and milk moulded sweet dessert, the name derives from the French 'Blanc manger' literally 'White eat'. The inscription 'Cast Aggreg' possibly relates to the moulding of the design.
