The termination on the above specimen is very sharp and highly lustrous
On the side of the specimen
rich blue-green colored prismatic Amazonite crystals with unusually etched / altered reddish-brown sections on the terminations
Augelite with Quartz and Jamesonite(?) amber Specimen # BOL711B139A good representative Augelite specimen from Machacamarca featuring many sharp, lustrous, translucent monoclinic crystals with Quartz on matrix. Some of the Augelites are very good sized for the locality and, along with the Quartz crystals, are included with an unknown black mineral (possibly Jamesonite). The two tone effect created from the inclusions makes for an eye catching piece as a lot of the specimens from this mine are not terribly colorful.
