This beautifully painted teak corbel dates to the 19th century and would have been an architectural beam support

and so much nicer than using modern plastic

Parrot Lamp Bracket From Gujarat - 19th Century Material - Mulberry Wood 54 x 41 x 85An old Indian lamp holder from a Kathi home in Gujarat, probably Saurashtra dating to the 19th century. It features a beautifully carved parrot as part of the rotating bracket which has been painted green. A lamp would have been placed on the bracket allowing the light to be directed.
