It is an excellent example of its style and is beautifully carved with floral motifs from a single block of jackfruit wood. It reflects the wealth and high quality artisanal work coming from South India driven by the Nattukottai Chettiar merchant caste. It has beautiful carvings for such a functional piece and sports a wonderful rich patina from
