Enfield Architectural Tile of Puck a Sprite English Tile This bull terrier is coveredThis is a wonderful antique tile with a highly modeled face of a sprite, possibly a portrait of Puck from Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream. Executed in an unglazed red brick faience clay, fingermarks are still evident on the sides showing the handmade nature. The face has a nice dark patina. The back is unmarked, but attributed to Enfield Pottery of Pennsylvania from the clay body and style. The condition is very good. It has a couple of chips
