Lovely example of a 1930s Czech glass rhinestone brooch with amethyst purple rhinestones claw / prong set in antique gold tone

It is relatively minor but I was keen to keep the piece in the box in which it came to me

However I am very willing to be corrected if anyone can message me with more knowledge of jewellery of this type

The clasp is stamped 'sterling' and one of the end settings is stamped 'silver'

so this one is unusual

The design uses a pierced metal design beautifully, with smooth curves next to angular geometric lines a contrast I always love in Art Deco designs. The brooch is just over 2. 5 inches long and about 2 1 4 inches wide. It fastens with a secure roll over clasp and pin and is in very good vintage condition.
