Finn Juhl's designs were met with great acclaim in America in the 1950s, and in turn he was gradually influenced by aspects of American furniture design. As a result, the Table Bench, designed in 1953, has a tubular steel frame that makes it both light and strong, and well suited to its dual purpose as a side table and a bench.
