Germany, Third Reich. A Rare Danzig Cross, I Class, By Hülse Auction Archive fold on one corner(Danziger Kreuz, I. Klasse). Instituted 31 August 1939 by Gauleiter Albert Forster. (1939 1940 issue). Constructed of gilded bronze with enamels, consisting of an elongated Cross Patte with a gilt frame, the obverse with white enameled arms highlighted on the interior with gilt borders, the centre and twelve oclock arm overlaid by double gilt Cross Pattes topped by a stylized crown, the reverse with two visible rivets securing the obverse applique in
