Germany, Third Reich. A Fire Brigade Dress Axe consisting of a blue enamelled Romanian Cross with clusters of nine gilt rays in eac makers mark on the edge(Feuerwehr Axt). A well preserved Fire Brigade ceremonial dress axe, measuring 47 cm in total length inclusive of all fixtures. It features a lacquered and blackened wooden handle topped by a nickel plated magnetic steel head with a blade and pick.
