Portugal, Republic. Military Order Of The Tower And Sword, V Class Knight, C. 1910 Auction Archive marked on ring with initials(Ordem Militar da Torre e Espada). Instituted in 1549, revived in 1808, discontinued in 1910. Three piece construction, in silver gilt with red, blue, white and green enamels, measuring 41. 7 mm (w) x 48 mm (h) inclusive of its integral ring, tiny chip evident in the white enamels on the tip of the arm at 6 o'clock on the obverse, otherwise the enamels are intact, traditional horizontal clasp affixed to its original ribbon, near extremely fine.
