Turkey, Ottoman Empire. A War Medal (Gallipoli Star) consisting of a blue enamelled Romanian Cross with clusters of nine gilt rays in eac measuring 80 mm (w) x(Harp Madalyasi). Instituted in 1915. In bronze with red enamels, ball finials on the tips of the star points, unmarked, measuring 56 mm (w) x 64 mm (h), horizontal pinback, repair and crazing evident in the red enamels on the star point at 10 o'clock, with contact marks overall, near fine.
