A Krim Shield, constructed of bronzed zink, the obverse consisting of a shield bearing a raised map of Crimea and southern Ukraine, topped by a Wehrmacht eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, flanked by dates 1941 1942, the reverse retaining all four attachment prongs, affixing the shield to a zink backplate with a field grey wool liner and intact light brown paper
