A Waffen-SS Cap Eagle for Enlisted Ranks, Battlefield-Retrieved consisting of a blue enamelled Romanian Cross with clusters of nine gilt rays in eac sliding closure(Waffen SS Schiffchenadler fr Mannschaften). Constructed of black rayon, the obverse bearing a machine embroidered silver grey SS style German national eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, unmarked, measuring 65 mm (w) x 32 mm (h), demonstrating soiling and material fatigue, a uniform removed example demonstrating the hallmarks of battlefield wear, in very fine condition.
