A Red Cross of Merit, for Ladies, in Case consisting of a blue enamelled Romanian Cross with clusters of nine gilt rays in eac Totem on July 16(Kruis van Verdienste van Nederlandsche Roode Kruis). Instituted in 1914. In silver gilt with red, white and green enamels, measuring 40 mm (w) x 64. 3 mm (h inclusive of its crown and laterally pierced ball suspension), chipping evident in the red enamels on the cross on the obverse centrepiece, exhibiting lacquer repair due to flaking in the red enamels on the reverse centrepiece, original bow tied ribbon with safety pin attachment, very fine.
