obverse centre appliqué in silver gilt consisting of the standard tricrown with red enamel surround presenting order motto TRIA JUNCTA IN UNO ("three joined in one")

while the interior is missing the sliding vent closure panels which once permitted the forward vents to be closed

the leather straps showing wear and cracking but remaining relatively supple

A rare and well preserved Forestry Service cutlass, measuring 55. 5 cm in total length when inserted into the scabbard. It features a 42 cm long, nickel plated, magnetic steel blade which retains factory original sharpening to both the tip and throat.
